![]() We take videogame preservation seriously and want to ensure you can run your originally bought content on modern day PCs. In addition to this, you will soon be able to run original game discs (CDs) from RetroArch. The libretro port, however, didn’t include The Voice support, as the corresponding code was simply disabled. Standalone O2EM can emulate The Voice expansion module using wav sound samples that the user must place in a specific folder, similarly to what happens with the bios. These cores can also be used in other programs that implement the Libretro Application Programming Interface (API). These plugins are called 'cores', and you need to install them inside RetroArch to be able to use them. Settings are also unified so configuration is done once and for all. O2EM is a Magnavox Odyssey 2 emulator core. RetroArch is a modular program that runs emulators and games within its framework as if they were 'plugins'. Under the core options, the latest BSNES core does allow for it there. ![]() ![]() While it can do many things besides this, it is most widely known for enabling you to run classic games on a wide range of computers and consoles through a slick graphical interface. I would add that BSNES does support runahead, but its not possible any longer inside the latency tab (due to recent changes done by Libretro with certain cores not supporting runahead in a reliable fashion.). ![]() So I tried 'Snes9x 2002', which I thought it was the best choice, but its really glitchy. Also, its veeery laggy while playing Super Mario RPG. RetroArch is an open source and cross platform frontend/framework for emulators, game engines, video games, media players and other applications. Im currently using 'Snes9x - Current' core to play my SNES roms and it works fine for almost every game, but it has some lagging spikes while playing. ![]()
